A beloved cornerstone of Atlanta’s sushi and Japanese dining scene for over 50 years, Nakato continues to charm with tradition while stepping its next chapter. After closing for renovations in June 2025, the longtime Cheshire Bridge location has recently completed renovations in October with a dramatically refreshed interior, a new entrance, an updated bar, and upgraded hibachi room. Though the physical space is transformed, the heart of Nakato — sushi, teppanyaki, hibachi, and it’s family run legacy — remains as strong as ever.
